Shared SO₃ Sulfonation Technology Platform

Qino’s surfactant production plants are built around an advanced SO₃ multi-tube falling film sulfonation reactor. By adapting raw material feeding, aging, hydrolysis, neutralization and post-treatment systems, the same core platform can support different sulfonation and sulfation processes.

Precise Single-Tube Flow Control

Each reaction tube is controlled by a high-precision rotameter, keeping organic feed flow deviation within 1.5%.

Secondary Protection Air Technology

Protective air improves SO₃ gas concentration, extends the initial reaction zone, reduces corrosion and helps stabilize product quality.

Enhanced Cooling Design

Full-circle baffle structure improves cooling efficiency and helps control reaction temperature peaks during high-speed sulfonation.

Better Scale-Up Performance

Increasing the number of reaction tubes does not affect single-tube feed accuracy, supporting larger capacity with stable quality.

Isolated Feed & Cooling System

Independent organic feed structure separates raw material from cooling water, reducing leakage and emulsification risks.

Higher Output

LABSA production capacity can be significantly improved compared with conventional reactor designs.

Stable Product Quality

Supports high active matter, low free oil, low inorganic acid and lighter product color.
 

Lower Energy Consumption

Waste heat recovery can generate 0.4-0.6 MPa saturated steam for reuse in the sulfonation plant.

Easier Operation & Maintenance

Flow can be observed and adjusted directly, making operation, troubleshooting and maintenance easier.

Longer Equipment Life

Reduced SO₃ contact with key mechanical parts helps lower corrosion and improve service life.
 

Flexible Product Capability

Suitable for sulfonation and sulfation of different raw materials, including LABSA, fatty alcohol sulfate and methyl ester sulfonate.
